I was thrilled to discover your website and find that you were offering multiple products with the image of the Filben Maestro as my grandfather, William Filben, was the inventor. I will be framing this photo for my home and anticipate ordering many other items in the near future for my large extended family

When I saw this photo of my hero, I had to obtain it because as you can see in the photo, I have Babe Ruth when he was young & strong initially with the Yankees. I want to truly thank the artist for his photo!

Terrific concert photo of Madonna back in the '80s. I hope the owner of this series featured in Life Magazine will make more available. They are stunning.

Artist's Description
San Francisco de Asis Mission Church is located in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. It was built between 1772 and 1816 when that area belonged to Spain, and has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Located on the main plaza, it has been photographed and painted by thousands. Including by the likes of Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams. Supposedly one of the most phtogographed and painted churches in the world. Made of adobe, it is a prime example of Spanish colonial architecture.
About Jeffrey Kolker
Self taught, I use the computer to paint. I've always been interested in computers since I first worked on one way back in high school. And I've always had an appreciation for art, as my mother is an accomplished painter. Merging the two, what you see are the results. Digital work that looks (hopefully!) like a traditional painting. My paintings are mostly places I've been, preserving the memory and sharing them with the world. I love to travel, seeing and experiencing new things. Painting the things I see reflect the wonder I had when I first saw them. I hope that when people see my works, they think the subject matter is interesting, whether or not they like the painting. Oh..and I paint flowers too, among other...

Very nice! I'm struck by how similar this church is to the older one at Chiu Chiu in northern Chile, also dedicated to San Francisco. Wonder if there was a direct connection?
Jeffrey Kolker replied:
Thanks, James! Other than being built by the Spanish, not sure. Perhaps they had certain standard designs for mission type churches?
Janice Drew
Beautiful, Jeff. I like the stone wall as the leading line to the church.
Jeffrey Kolker replied:
Thanks, Janice!
